We are pleased to announce that on the 1^st of July at 5pm, Estor in collaboration with SMART (Smart Meeting Anesthesia Resuscitation Intensive Care), organizes a webinar on minimally invasive CO₂ removal.

International and well-renowned speakers in ECMO and ECCO₂R such as Prof. Gattinoni (Universitätsmedizin Göttingen), will participate in this online session which will be held in English.

During this webinar, the potential of minimally invasive extracorporeal CO2 removal (LF-ECCO2-R) will be analised, and the differences between a lung in the clinical context defined as ARDS and in COVID-19 disease will be discussed as well, in order to try to identify the best patient-tailored ventilatory strategies. The rationale and potential for a well-designed minimally invasive extracorporeal CO2 removal system in the management of the patient’s ventilatory support will then be analyzed in order to choose the best setting to prevent ventilator- induced lung injury (VILI).

In addition, clinical experiences of applying the minimally invasive CO2 removal system both in the context of certain forms of ARDS and COVID-19 too will be described.
