We are pleased to announce that on the 1st of July at 5pm, Estor in collaboration with SMART (Smart Meeting Anesthesia Resuscitation Intensive Care), organizes a webinar on minimally invasive CO2 removal.
International and well-renowned speakers in ECMO and ECCO2R such as Prof. Gattinoni (Universitätsmedizin Göttingen), will participate in this online session which will be held in English.
During this webinar, the potential of minimally invasive extracorporeal CO2 removal (LF-ECCO2-R) will be analised, and the differences between a lung in the clinical context defined as ARDS and in COVID-19 disease will be discussed as well, in order to try to identify the best patient-tailored ventilatory strategies. The rationale and potential for a well-designed minimally invasive extracorporeal CO2 removal system in the management of the patient’s ventilatory support will then be analyzed in order to choose the best setting to prevent ventilator- induced lung injury (VILI).
In addition, clinical experiences of applying the minimally invasive CO2 removal system both in the context of certain forms of ARDS and COVID-19 too will be described.
