Cardiovascular (CV) disease is the world’s number one killer today. Each year, about 17.9 Million people die due to this disease, which includes heart and cerebrovascular diseases. In 2017, only in Spain more than 120,000 people died due to CV disease, according to Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE).
Today, 29th of September, we celebrate the World Heart Day, organized by the World Heart Federation, which is represented in Spain by Fundación Española del Corazón (FEC).
In order to avoid the CV disease’s onset, and by using the slogan “Make your promise”, FEC encourages people from all walks of life to “run away” from the three main modifiable risk factors that contribute to its development: smoking, poor diet and sedentary lifestyle.
In Cardiolink, we have been 15 years committed to the cardiovascular disease, and we join the World Heart Day.
