Allium BIS - Biliary stent
for managing chronic Common Bile Duct (CBD) obstructions
The BIS is used for managing chronic Common Bile Duct (CBD) obstructions to open occluded passages and allow intra-luminal flow during its long indwelling period. The stent has a large caliber, a high radial force and it is specially designed to reduce the possibility of migration, reflux and development of reactive proliferative tissue at its ends. Its unique features enable the physician to easily and safely remove the stent whenever it is needed.
- Placement System: the BIS stent is assembled on a placement system for endoscopic retrograde insertion (10 F) into the common bile duct.
- Available sizes: with or without anchor, 8 and 10mm in diameter and 60, 80, 100 and 120mm in length.
Indication for use: Allium Endoscopic Biliary Stents (BIS) are indicated for obstructive jaundice caused by malignant bile duct obstruction.

Allium URS – Ureteral stent
for malignant or benign ureteral occlusions necessitating long-term or chronic ureteral stenting
ALLIUM Ureteral Stent (URS) is intended to be inserted into the lower ureter to allow free flow of urine from the kidney to the bladder by supporting the obstructed area of the ureteral lumen, keep it open and prevent its re-obstruction.
The ALLIUM Ureteral Stent is intended for endoscopic (retrograde), percutaneous (antegrade) insertion or combined antegrade/retrograde insertion (under cystoscopic and fluoroscopic guidance) into the ureter of patients diagnosed with malignant or benign ureteral occlusions necessitating long-term or chronic ureteral stenting.
- Available sizes: with or without anchor, 8, 9 and 10mm in diameter and 100, 120, and 200mm in length.
Indications for use: ALLIUM Ureteral Stents are indicated for use in malignant or benign ureteral occlusions necessitating long-term or chronic ureteral stenting (i.e. patients indicated for inserting double-J stents for 6 months or longer):
- Pelvic malignancies compressing the ureter
- Non-operable, occluding, primary or infiltrative ureteral malignancies
- Uretero-intestinal anastomotic strictures
- Iatrogenic benign strictures of the ureter

Allium TPS – Triangular Prostatic Urethral Stent
for managing urethral stenosis due to benign prostatic hyperplasia or brachytherapy treatment
The TPS stent is used for managing urethral stenosis due to benign prostatic hyperplasia or brachytherapy treatment which require the insertion and long indwelling time of a stent.
Allium’s unique prostatic stent implant have a large caliber triangular cross-section to match the contours of an enlarged male prostatic urethral lumen and have the ability to exert varying degrees of radial force depending on the anatomy. A higher radial force in its main body to maintain urine passage, and lower radial force in the area near the external sphincter to prevent sphincteric dysfunction and urinary retention or incontinence.
These characteristics enable the Allium Prostatic Stent Implant to conform to the prostatic urethra, allow an excellent urine flow and offer excellent patient comfort without jeopardizing the voluntary continence mechanism.
Furthermore, this procedure is fully reversible, which allows extraction of the stent at any stage if needed, without altering the anatomy as other invasive procedures do.
- Available sizes: with anchor, 45FR in diameter and 30, 40, 50, 60mm in length.
Indications for use:
- BPH – benign prostatic hyperplasia
- Brachytherapy patients following seeding
- Patients at high risk for surgery
- Palliative patients

Allium BUS – Bulbar Stent
for the treatment of recurrent strictures along the bulbar urethra
Allium’s Bulbar Stent BUS is designed specifically for the treatment of recurrent strictures along the bulbar urethra. This new generation of bulbar stents is fully covered, self-expandable, and large in caliber to match the contours of the bulbar urethral lumen. The main body acts as a mold to allow forming a large urethral lumen, and the dynamic sphincteric segment prevents sphincteric dysfunction that may cause incontinence.
The Allium Bulbar Stent is intended for a long-term use of up to 3 years and is designed to be removed easily and safely even after this long indwelling period.
- Available sizes: with anchor, 45FR in diameter and 50, 60 and 80mm in length. In addition, a 80mm in length stent with retrograde delivery.
Indications for use: total or partial strictures in the bulbar urethra.

Allium RPS – Round Posterior Stent
for the management of Bladder Outlet Obstruction (BOO) in adult males
The use of Allium’s Round Posterior Stent (RPS) System is indicated for the management of Bladder Outlet Obstruction (BOO) in adult males.
It is intended for use in the following obstructions to provide temporary relief developing following:
- Radical Prostatectomies (Anastomotic strictures)
- TURP or other BPH procedures (Bladder neck strictures)
The Allium Round Posterior Urethral Stent is comprised of a super-elastic structure, which fully covered and embedded in a co-polymer. By inserting the stent into the posterior urethra of these patient an immediate widening of the occlusion is achieved allowing an immediate urine flow. During the indwelling period of up to 3 years the stent maintains an open lumen, prevents ingrowth and provides a good passage of urine flow.
- Available sizes: 45FR in diameter and 30mm or 40mm in length.
