Cardiovascular Suturing System including Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) closure
Noblestitch™ EL is a system of percutaneous closure of permeable foramen ovale (PFO) through suture.
Three devices are supplied in a single sterile kit for the release and fixation of non-absorbable 4-0 polypropylene sutures allow the PFO to be closed in three different steps:
- ‘S’ places the first suture through the septum secundum
- ‘P’ places the second suture through the septum primum
- The “KwiKnot ™” device allows the foramen oval to be closed by fixing the suture wires with a two-part polypropylene system
The system offers the following advantages:
- Without implanted metal prostheses
- No antiplatelet therapy or other medical therapy is required
- No risk of dislocation and erosion
- Low risk of thrombosis
- Does not inhibit future cross-sectional procedures
- Low risk of atrial fibrilation
