Nitinol Sternal Closure Clip
Flexigrip is a sternal closure system with specific indication in cardiothoracic surgery. The system is composed by nitinol staples and an instrumentation kit.
- Flexigrip is a non-toxic and completely biocompatible medical device made of Nitinol.
- Flexigrip will not osteointegrate, making an eventual following removal much easier.
- Flexigrip, unlike ferromagnetic implants, won’t create problems with image diagnosis (TAC and NMR).
- Flexigrip is super elastic and has no elastic fatigue, which makes it particularly indicated for semi-rigid fixations, as it allows a certain degree of flexibility to the rib cage expansion.
