We are pleased to publish this type of news in which DynaMesh® has won before the European Patent Office, when in May 2006, Ethicon filed an appeal against the European patent of FEG.

But it is not just this news that announces FEG DynaMesh®. Among many others, are the following:

  1. Later this year, it plans to launch DynaMesh®-IPST with a 4 cm funnel that will replace the current length of the 2.5 cm DynaMesh®-IPST funnel. The reason for this modification is to increase safety, since an extension of the elastic tunnel can cause shortening. In this context, Dr. Gernot Köhler et al. published the first results of a prospective series of cases with 12 patients treated for parastomal hernia, with successful results without incident, which was subsequently increased to 30 patients.
  2. A multicenter, randomized, blind, prospective study comparing PP and PVDF mesh implants in the Lichtenstein procedure with respect to pain and recurrence, in which Dra. García-Pastor et al. with 164 patients treated for primary bilateral inguinal hernia, they reported as a result that the DynaMesh®-LICHTENSTEIN mesh was significantly better in terms of postoperative pain and chronic pain.
  3. DynaMesh® FEG Textiltechnik mbH is supporting a multicenter prospective randomized controlled trial under the clinical direction of Dr. Nele Van De Winkel, University Hospital of Leuven, Belgium, with 510 patients, to obtain reliable information on the current alternative to repair meshes: surgical tail. The inclusion phase began in 2018 and will continue until 2020.
