Last week, during the 19th, 20th and 21st of February, the “VIII Curso Internacional de Cirugía de Incontinencia Urinaria y Suelo Pélvico” took place in Hospital Clínico San Carlos (Madrid, Spain). The course, which revolved around urinary incontinence and pelvic floor, was organized by the Urology Service of the hospital and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

On the course, in which several national and international speakers contributed, many topics regarding urinary incontinence and pelvic floor surgery were discussed, such as: the scientific society’s recommendations on mesh use, the usefulness of stem cells in urinary incontinence, or the achievements in overactive bladder treatment.

In Cardiolink we collaborated in this course by sponsoring a live surgery led by Dr. Eva Torres (Hospital Reina Sofía de Córdoba), together with Dr. Cesar Díaz and Dr. Jesús Ruiz, which involved a robotic (da Vinci XI) colposacropexy using Dynamesh.
