There are abdominal surgeries that can be more complex than others. With the advance of the years and the technology, abdominal repair meshes have become essential for abdominal wall closure, increasing its effectiveness and decreasing the risk of second interventions due to recurrence. But not all the meshes are made of the same material, so not all offer the maximum advantages that Dynamesh meshes can offer. These are composed of PVDF, a filament with many positive “natural” properties with a knitted structure from said filament that offer very good tolerance of the organism thanks to its excellent biocompatibility which leads to a poor reaction to foreign bodies, safely avoided the formation of cicatricial plaques. It also shows a significantly smaller granuloma formation, compared to conventional polymers (PP meshes). <\/span><\/p>\n

That is why Dr. Garc\u00eda Ure\u00f1a, of Henares University Hospital, opted to use Dynamesh meshes in his interventions: Less bacterial adherence in pure PVDF implants, something very important, especially in all open techniques, since the risk of infection decreases noticeably. For this, an excellent fixation of the mesh is essential. In this case, the bioabsorbable synthetic glue with a cyanoacrylic base of Glubran2 is ideal due to its adhesive properties. Once solidified, it provides an effective antiseptic barrier against the most frequent infectious agents or pathogens in this type of surgical interventions. <\/span><\/p>\n
