We would like to encourage you to participate on the webinar “Round Table Discussion on Component Separation Technique” organized by Dynamesh next Wednesday 24th at 4pm.

Abdominal wall defects are mainly the consequence of failed previous repairs of primary or secondary hernias and therefore associated with sometimes poor prognosis. The function and long-term stability strongly depends on the anatomical reconstruction, which should be the aim of this challenging kind of surgery. Today different approaches of the component separation technique (CST) do exist, the so-called transversus abdominis release (TAR) seems to be the preferred one. The aim of our webinar is to discuss the role of open and robotic TAR in comparison with the anterior approach with sparing of the perforans vessels. Furthermore, a very new technique (LIRA) will be introduced whether it may be a valuable alternative for the repair of abdominal wall defects. Some short remarks about additive measures like Botox or abdominal wall distraction should be awaited.

The online session will be moderated by Prof. Dieter Berger (Private Clinic Bethanien, Switzerland). Doctors Camillo Leonardo Bertoglio (ASST Grande Ospedale, Italy), Ulrich A. Dietz (Kantonsspital Olten, Switzerland), Julio Gómez Menchero (Hospital Riotinto, Spain) and José A. Pereira (Hospital del Mar, Spain) will participate as speakers on the round table discussion.

You can register for this webinar here. Access is for free, but limited to healthcare professionals.

This online session is sponsored by Dynamesh, the German manufacturer of the PVDF meshes, which we distribute in Spain in Cardiolink. For more information on the meshes you can check this link.
