Publication in Diario Medico of our mechanical heart valve On-X: the only valve that in the aortic position allows inferior anticoagulant treatment to the rest of valves. All of this thanks to its main characteristics, such as its anatomical shape, which fits perfectly to the aortic ring of the patient, the opening of valves at 90º with closure at 40º, which allows less reguritation and better laminar flow and its composition of pure pyrolytic carbon, which offers a smooth surface without impurities, thus reducing thrombogenicity. The result: lower doses of anticoagulants, less risk of bleeding and <60% of thromboembolism.
