We would like to encourage you to participate on the webinar “The Role of Material in Pelvic Floor Surgery – Theory of Pathology and Clinical Practice” organized by Dynamesh next Thursday 22th at 4pm.

Prof. Dr. med. Bernd Klosterhalfen (Institute of Pathology, Hospital of Dueren, Germany) and Dr. Jordi Sabadell García (Urogynecology and Pelvic Floor Unit, Hospital Universitari Vall d‘Hebron, Barcelona) will be the speakers of this online session, which will be held in English.

Today, pelvic floor meshes are made of various polymers. However, each polymer has different features, which influence the biocompatibility and which may impact the long-term outcome of the pelvic floor repair. PVDF, a polymer meanwhile well-established in the medical field yet underrepresented in pelvic floor repair, shows superior biocompatibility compared to standard polymers. Prof. Klosterhalfen, will highlight the advantages of PVDF from the view of a pathologist. Consecutively, Dr. Sabadell-García will discuss the 1-year results from a randomized controlled trial comparing polypropylene (PP) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) suburethral slings for the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence.

You can register for this webinar here. Access is for free, but limited to healthcare professionals.

This online session is sponsored by Dynamesh, the German manufacturer of the PVDF meshes, which we distribute in Spain. For more information on the pelvic floor meshes you can check this link.
